Framing Dance                The Summer Camp

When: June 15 - 19, 2015 from 9:00AM - 2:00 PM

Ages: 6 - 11 Years Old

Cost: $250

First deposit of $100 is due by Friday, June 5, 2015.

Second deposit of $150 is due by Monday, June 15, 2015.

Schedule

9:00 - 10:00    Language Arts Through Dance

Students move through a series beginning with spoken word and then adding movement. These exercises reinforce a student's positve self-image through public speaking.

10:00 - 11:00   Science through Dance

Students focus on Sir Isaac Newton's Universal Law of Gravitation and the Three Laws of Motion. Through a series of weight sharing exercises, students find how exciting the use of gravity and acceleration can be. 

11:00 - 11:30    Show and Tell

Through performance of class exercises, students gain confidence performing in front of their peers.

11:30 - 12:00    Lunch Time

12:00 - 1:00     Math through Dance

Students explore the relationship of how mathematics and dance interact and draw from each other. Students learn to understand patterns and the relationship between body, space, and time. 

1:00 - 1:10        Break Time

1:10 - 2:00       Choreography Class

Students develop critical thinking skills for problem solving through creation of their own dances.
